A Certified Nursing Assistant obtains patient history and vital signs (i.e., blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight, etc.); prepares patient for examination and provides information or instruction to patient; assists Physician and Surgeon, Physician Assistant, and Nurse Practitioner with procedures and treatments; sets up/cleans up examination room, inventories supplies in a health care area, and restocks supplies as needed; provides basic nursing care on the inpatient and outpatient units; and provides one-on-one observation of patients on suicide watch.

Currently accepting SROA , lateral transfer applications for employees currently in the Certified Nursing Assistant, CF classification or list eligible whom have taken the examination and are on the certification list for Certified Nursing Assistant, CF.
- Starting Salary:
- Through June 30, 2013, full-time employees’ monthly pay will be reduced by 4.62% in exchange for eight (8) hours of leave. Part-time employees shall be subject to the pay reduction on a pro-rated basis consistent with their time base.
Possession of a current Nursing Assistant Certificate issued by the Department of Public Health .
And
Six months of patient care experience as (1) a medical corpsman in a branch of the armed forces; (2) a practical vocational nurse under the direction of a doctor; or (3) an attendant caring for physically ill and/or disabled patients in a public or private institution.
