SJVR is seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist position with some managerial duties to join our team. The Clinical Lab Scientist, under the general supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, is responsible for all laboratory operations including: quality assurance, proficiency testing, conducting/performing approved laboratory tests, scheduling of other per diem staff and interface with other SJVR personnel. The Clinical Lab Scientist is also responsible for all testing performed under the laboratory to include: CLIA license, training/staff competency, Quality Control reviews and proficiency testing with reporting to the Laboratory Medical Director. The hours are flexible and you will have the opportunity to work with an outstanding team of clinicians.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years experience working in a clinical laboratory.
- Minimum of two years management experience preferred.
- Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or an equivalent field as evidenced by current licensure in California.
- ASCP certification preferred.
- Must demonstrate management and organizational skills.
- Must be both personable and professional in dealing with other hospital staff and patients.
