Vascular Disease is defined as a disease of the blood vessels (usually narrowing). It can happen in the heart (Cardiovascular Disease) or outside of the heart or brain (Peripheral Vascular Disease). Hundreds of millions of people globally have some type of vascular disease with only a small percentage actually ever being diagnosed. With the constant cadence of new products in the marketplace, the ability for us to train our customers on the safe & effective use of our products in addition to driving the competency of our field force becomes critical to the treatment of patients within the cardiovascular field and for the success of our business.

Given this significant need and tr! emendous opportunity to help support the introduction of our products to our customers around the world, we are searching for an individual to drive our Global Education & Training efforts in Cardiology.

The Manager, Global Education & Training (Cardiology), is an important leadership position within the Global Education & Training team at Cordis.The talented leader selected for this role will lead of the Cordis' Global Education Team efforts around Cardiology encompassing strategy definition and deployment. Included in this individual's responsibilities are the creation, development, and deployment of robust Cardiology physician, nurse, and technicians programs in addition to appropriate sales & clinical education programs designed for our Cordis field organization globally. Cordis aims to be recognized as best in industry for customer education and internal sales, clinical, & commercial competencies.He / She will also provide expertise and guidance to sales manag! ement on the establishment of Cardiology training priorities for both l! ong term and short term objectives in addition to delivering product training at global training programs, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders (internal & external) to ensure the highest level of internal proficiency during Cardiology product launches.

Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position will: Partner closely with regional training leads to ensure global implementation and reach. Collaborate with commercial leaders in all regions to deploy best in industry Cardiology customer training programs (includes all customer stakeholders: Interventional Cardiologists, Nurse and Techs, Administrators, etc) , lead the development & execution of best in class education offerings to support Cordis' innovation pipeline and advance skill sets in Cardiology areas with specific attention to procedure adoption. Collaborate with KOLs! and thought leaders to develop educational content and run centers of excellence to drive the safe & effective use of our products, collaborate with Interventional Cardiologists, and other key stakeholders to understand key requirements for our Cardiology education offering. Develop global internal training programs for Cardiology to ensure clinical and commercial proficiency for all employees, including delivering clinical & commercial content to new hires and all other employees in the field. Will be accountable for rapid clinical proficiency of new field hires leading to maximum productivity in 6 to 12 months in the field of Cardiology, developing appropriate Cardiology training tools including e-modules for remote ongoing learning, and recertification of all clinical field personnel throughout the year. Will drive continued field education of all clinical field personnel via multiple training mechanisms & vehicles such as Role playing, Online Courses, Instructor Led pr! ograms, Self-Study materials, etc. Leads the development & deployment o! f training materials & programs to ensure maximum commercial success for our Cardiology business by: Maximizing effectiveness of new Cardiology product launches, increasing customer utilization of our existing Cardiology products and driving competitive account conversions via field training on rebuttals of competitive products. Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level and for ensuring subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources that are needed to do so are available and in good condition. Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws. Also responsible for following all Company regulations, policies and procedures. Will perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree is required. Master's Degree (MBA, MSc) is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of relevant busines! s experience is required. Prior experience in Cardiovascular Medical Device industry is strongly preferred. Clinical Cardiology industry knowledge & proven ability to learn complex technology/clinical applications is required. Sales Management in a CV medical device company is preferred. Sales / Clinical Training experience is required. Cardiovascular technology knowledge is required. Excellent negotiation and collaboration skills required. Ability to work effectively with peers, both internally and externally is required. Must demonstrate strong commercial and business acumen. Strong presentation skills, customer relations skills, and proven track record of respect and connections with field organizations are required. Candidate must be Results & Performance Driven (including focus on execution) Strategic Thinking, Collaboration & Teaming, Sense of Urgency, and Big Picture Orientation with Attention to Detail. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) are required. ! Strong presentation skills (proficient in PowerPoint) are required. Abi! lity to work in a fast paced, high energy, innovative environment is required. Ability to learn complex technology/clinical applications and take initiative is required. Candidate must be strategic-minded with superior collaboration skills, and problem solving and decision-making skills. This position requires the ability to travel 50% both domestic and international including weekends for conferences or events.
