We are seeking a Full Tim! e, Evening Shift, Registered Nurse for our 77-bed Transitional Care Center.
In this position you will:
The Staff Registered Nurse is a registered professional nurse who is accountable and responsible for both the independent delivery of direct patient care and delivery through the assignment and direction of the patient focused care team.
The Staff Registered Nurse utilizes a collaborative patient care management process, meeting established standards of nursing care and integrating other healthcare team members.
Responds to patients and families (older adult and geriatric) with knowledge of age specific needs.
Implement and maintain established department, unit, administrative, and clinical policies/procedures for patient care, safety, and infection control.
Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment with attention to each patient's physical, emotional, psychosocial and spiritual needs.
Collaborate and co! mmunicate with other personnel to maintain good employee relat! ions, meet interdepartmental objectives, and optimize patient care.
Provide direction to team members to coordinate care of assigned patients and problem-solve patient care issues during the shift.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current California Registered Nurse License
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
1 year of experience working on a Transitional Care Unit
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
