Current Need
Support and design innovative product offerings that utilize pharmacy claims data to improve pharmacy adherence, recruit patients for clinical trials, and provide marketing tools for pharmacists to better manage their business.
Provide statistical and analytical support and consultation required by key business partners of our Pharmaceutical Marketing Grou! p to optimize sales and marketing programs.
Contribute to ! the development of data mining and business intelligence competencies utilizing formal statistical methods. This individual will help frame business problems into structured, analytical projects, perform the analysis and develop recommendations and present findings.
Position Description
Uses statistical /data mining techniques to analyze business problems, outline potential solution options and develop recommendations
Provides hands on support for key customer facing programs, including analyzing patient adherence, understanding clinical trial protocols, and performing ROI analysis to support marketing business cases
Researches, compiles and analyzes data; prepares and presents reports summarizing analysis results/conclusions
Manages other contract analytics support to execute against key short term projects
Communicates research results to business leaders and other non-statisticians
Provides statistical support for short and long term proj! ects and ad hoc requests
Provides subject matter support to Analytic Services team on advanced analytics techniques
Gathers data from a variety of internal sources (Oracle/IW, SAP/BW, Business Objects, Mainframe, etc.)

Minimum Requirements
8 or more years experience in analytics role and/or research (including data analysis, statistical modeling, data mining)
Critical Skills
Solid and broad statistical knowledge required, with particular proficiency in the theory and application of knowledge of data cleansing and data modeling techniques required
Multivariate statistical analysis techniques
Demonstrated experience in cluster analysis, decision tree analysis, propensity mapping techniques, and design of experiments also required.
Ability to access, extract, cleanse, and transform data from legacy systems.
Mastery of BASE SAS, PROC SQL, and specific statistical functions are required,
Proven ef! fectiveness as a creative problem solver; ability to challenge conventi! onal approaches and thinking outside the box
Excellent consulting/communication skills and ability to work independently are essential
Strong attention to detail
Demonstrated results orientation and follow-through
Additional computing skills: Excel, SQL, MS Access
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Familiar with SAS Information maps, SAS Web Reports Study, and SAS EBI
Familiarity with pharmacy claims, medical claims and clinical outcomes data is desirable
Knowledge of SQL and relational databases is desirable.
Prior experience working with big data databases is preferred
Healthcare industry experience preferred
Experience in a medical field, such as Nursing, Pharmacy, Hospital or Research facility a plus
Experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools, a plus
Application of statistical methods to marketing, a plus
Medical economics experience a plus
Education
Masters in Statistics! , Biostatistics, Computer Science or related field acceptable with additional years of analytic work experience required, provided the candidate has demonstrated knowledge of advanced statistical concepts
Ph.D in Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science or related field, desired
