JOB DESCRIPTION:
Health care organization in northern California is seeking a Director of Nursing for a transitional care facility. The Director or Nursing/Nurse Executive will have oversight of the daily clinical and administrative operations of the nursing department to assure quality care of the residents.
SALARY:
Salary range is $100k to ! $110k, plus bonus. Full benefits and relocation assistance are! offered..
INCLUDED RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. The Director of Nursing will assure that the nursing department's objectives and philosophy incorporate evidence-based practice in providing high quality care and quality of life to each resident.
2. Will serve as advocate for the residents and staff under his/her direction.
3. Foster high standards of resident care through the provision and promotion of diligent orientation and continuing education efforts, adequate levels of nursing personnel, properly prepared nursing supervisors and managers and effective policies and procedures.
4. Assure that nursing organizational structure supports clinical and administrative standards and goals.
5. Accountable for consistent assignments in the center and adjustments to staffing based upon census, acuity and budget.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN or MSN preferred.
2. At least one year of leade! rship experience in administration and management in a health care organization.
3. At least one year experience in gerontology nursing/long-term care nursing preferred.
4. Certification as a Director of Nursing or Nurse Executive/Administrator in a long-term care facility is preferred.
