Position Summary:
The incumbent is responsible to provide oversight to all activities for educational programs and user support related to clinical computer applications, software programs and online documentation processes. Provides supervision to assigned clinical informatics educators.
Salary Range:
Rate Minimum $79,300.00 Maximum $142,800.00

Collaborat! es with Information Systems, clinical support analysts, and ma! nagement in the planning, development, testing, and implementation of clinical computer applications and other information systems. Participates in and provides input to future clinical information systems.

Supervision: Acts as a coach and positive role model for staff by establishing and maintaining a safe work environment that fosters positive morale. Appropriately monitors and addresses performance issues, applying corrective or disciplinary action when needed. Effectively manages staff in compliance with applicable labor union agreement, and all established policies, procedures and legal guidelines. Ensures effective staffing levels, and handles recruitment and selection for unit.

Assists managers in establishing educational goals and plans regarding clinical computer applications for the department, for a specific group of employees, or a single employee with educational needs. Provides post activation end user support! as necessary.

Provides for on-going maintenance, servicing, and control of departmental equipment and supplies as needed.

In collaboration with management, IT, and application users, develops, implements, and evaluates clinical systems training and support plans. Identifies strategies to enhance and/or improve the overall quality of clinical informatics training and user experience. Makes recommendations to management and effectively implements approved strategies

Delivers clinical informatics educational programs for physicians and all levels of staff based on annual needs, new computer applications, system updates, and other organizational goals and changes. Applies clinical practice knowledge and instructional design principles when developing training curriculum.

Required Qualifications:
Previous supervisory or lead experience
Mu! st possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystem
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Three years of related clinical experience in an acute care setting
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Working knowledge of network systems
Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year experience organizing, developing and delivering training for all levels of staff including physicians
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
Previous experience working with ! Allscripts (Eclipsis) Sunrise Clinical applications
