Under general supervision, guided by the policies and procedures of the Center for Reproductive Health, and in collaboration with the physician, nursing and administrative staff, the Registered Nurse (RN) will asses s health needs and perform functions specific to unassisted and assisted reproductive techniques as well as andrology, fertility preservation and gynecological treatment patients.
S/he will assess patient needs, then plan, evaluate and participate in care for patients/couples. S/he will utilize specialized knowledge and skills for evaluation and teaching within this patient population, and may act as a resource person within the organization and/or community. S/he will consistently project a professional and courteous demeanor.
The RN shall comply with the Medical Center house and telephone standards.
Required Qualifications
Two or more years of clinical RN experience
Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
Active American Heart Association CPR certification
Previous experience in Reproductive Endocrine and Infertility nursing experience
Previous experience in acute or ambulatory hea lthcare environment
Strong Leadership Skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment, detail oriented, flexible
Excellent communication skills
Computer skills
The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with APEX or other EMRs
Phlebotomy and IV skills
Licensure/Certification
Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
Active American Heart Association CPR certification

Work Environment
