Endocrinologist


 

Qualifications and experience:

  • Fully qualified endocrinologist with completed clinical residency program
  • A valid medical license and registration to practice endocrinology in the UAE and/or country of last employment; if currently not licensed to practice in the UAE, need to be eligible to receive license and meet UAE Unified Healthcare Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR)
  • Specialization in metabolic conditions, specifically obesity and diabetes; certification in obesity is a plus
  • Additional qualification in paediatrics is a plus
  • Significant work experience in the field of metabolic conditions focused on diabetes and obesity

Required skills:

  • A thorough understanding of the endocrine system and its diseases, disorders, and conditions, particularly metabolically conditions such as diabetes and obesity
  • Strong analytical abilities to provide accurate diagnoses
  • Strong business apprehension to help Endocare realize its growth ambitions in the Middle East
  • Excellent decision-making, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving (researching skills is a plus)
  • Proficiency with computers and medical equipment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)

Duties and responsibilities:

General duties and responsibilities

  • Analyzing, examining, and investigating patients and their medical histories for signs and symptoms of hormonal imbalances
  • Advising, ordering, and performing tests and interpreting the results
  • Discussing diagnoses with patients, explaining treatment options, and giving advice on medications, lifestyle and dietary changes, and other preventative measures
  • Carrying out follow-up appointments, monitoring patient progress, adjusting treatment plans and medications, and updating patient records
  • Supporting patients with serious or complex endocrine conditions
  • Remaining up-to-date on current discoveries, developments, trends, research, and technology

Duties and responsibilities specific to Endocare

  • Conducting technology-enabled consultations, e.g. through telemedicine
  • Collaborating with and aligning the treatment with Endocare's health coaches who are responsible for educating, encouraging, and supporting patient throughout the treatment period (and beyond) to make necessary lifestyle changes (e.g. nutrition, exercise, sleep)
  • Supporting the management in recruiting additional medical staff in line with Endocare's growth ambitions (in the UAE and wider GCC)
  • Training of new medical staff (with strong support by the management)
  • Explaining and advertising the benefits of technology-supported treatment to patients (e.g. use of the proprietary Endocare app and adoption of tele-medicine)
  • Working closely with Endocare’s management on partnerships with technology and life science companies

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: AED40,000.00 - AED50,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Dubai Healthcare City: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
