Position Summary:

Arkansas State University is seeking to hire a Records Manager. This position is responsible for the audit of degree plans, the verification the accuracy of data input into the student academic record, and the implementation of registration processes

Duties & Responsibilities:

Communication - review with program coordinators course registration materials; reminder, grade, transcript and graduation correspondence; Develop ways to improve and automate correspondence as program grows. Responsible for some direct student communication
Monitor reports for data integrity
Respond to email requests for course registration, drops, and withdraws
Connect students with necessary resources including advising or financial aid
Maintain student's records through Document Manager or Webxtender
Interpret and provide rationale for institutional policies and procedures
Assist with student inquiries - phone, email, Zoom
Other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of computers and software application programs, database management and basic accounting principles, and registration processes

Ability to conduct research and perform basic quantitative quality assurance reviews, plan, organize, and coordinate activities, resources, and materials associated with the needs of the department or program, and counsel students and families

General Days/Hours:

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Regular and reliable attendance

This position has been identified as a telecommuting position. The duties are performed during standard work hours of 8am-5pm at a predefined and approved work location. Individuals filling this role must have dedicated work space that provides privacy and security related to the work being performed. Additionally, individuals must have secure internet access with appropriate upload/download capabilities to perform the duties associated with the position. Individuals in this position will be required to review and acknowledge the Telecommuting Guidelines and Telecommuting Agreement for A-State

Preferred Qualifications:

One (1) year of experience in higher education administration

Minimum Qualifications:

The formal education equivalent of an earned Bachelor's Degree in business administration or related field
