JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced Routing Manager to lead a fleet of 30+ drivers to maximize productivity of their fleet. Routinely review profit/loss (P/L). Develop a personal and professional relationship with each driving associate that leads to exceptional safety, service, equipment care, fuel performance and retention. This is a full-time position based out of our headquarter location in Los Angeles, CA.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maximize P/L for all assigned drivers through route management
- Collaborate with planner(s) and assign drivers to routes that best serve the company and the driver
- Receive feedback on provided services and resolve clients’ complaints
- Responsible for completing logs and reports
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects, accidents, or violations
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Responsible for managing and leading routes for drivers
- Exceptional communication skills
- Able to work under pressure in a fast paced growing industry
- Receptive to critique and training
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc)
- Able to create, maintain and build professional relationships and rapport
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years in operations and logistics planning
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- Proven working experience as a delivery driver in any industry
- State Law requires that applicants be 21 years old and over
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
- Be able to stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time, bend, kneel, squat, and twist
