This VISTA position will be part of a cohort of four VISTA members serving at community organizations that are part of the Nashville Promise Zone as supported and coordinated by the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency. This VISTA position will be placed at Woodbine Community Organization. Woodbine Community Organization is a mission-driven community development organization dedicated to working together to create opportunities for people of diverse incomes and backgrounds to access affordable housing, financial education, and economic opportunities and to fully participate in the civic life of their community.

Member Duties : The NPZ Affordable Housing Coordinator will work with Affordable Housing nonprofit agencies, advocates, and government offices to participate in monthly affordable housing meetings, community meetings, and events to collect information on local housing conditions. This VISTA member will also build and manage an Affordable Housing Grant Library and research/report local market conditions to NPZ community partners and MDHA staff.
