Business Unit EC is driving surface solutions! EC employs 11,400 people operating in more than 70 sites worldwide. We are a global expert in the development, production, and marketing of coatings and solutions, including:

  • Innovative and sustainable automotive OEM and refinish coatings

We are seeking a professional like you to support our Automotive Refinish Technologies group. You will work with automotive collision repair shop customers to grow our market share. You will be responsible to sell BASF automotive refinish products and services along with all associated products needed to support our collision center customers. In return for innovating and pushing yourself and your team to be the best every day, you will have your accomplishments recognized and rewarded, get amazing growth opportunities, and know firsthand what it feels like to be surrounded by a global network of other brilliant colleagues.

Ideal candidate to be based in either Metro Birmingham, AL or Eastern Mississippi. Travel will be 50%; with a fair amount of the travel being overnight.

As an Account Representative II – Automotive Refinish, you create chemistry by…

  • Executing the business strategy and drive sales growth in the local markets through identifying customer and market needs within assigned market responsibility.
  • Developing market potential through forecasting, lead generation, qualification, closing sales and recommending new products and services.
  • Managing existing relationships and develop new ones.
  • Establishing trust and value in our ever-changing industry.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success

  • Education and professional experience in Sales and/or Marketing.
  • Ideal candidate has 5+ years in sales and collision industry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Robust relationship building skills focused on increasing market share via new business and maintaining/growing existing business.
  • Extensive experience in the automotive refinish experience or in a related sales field.
