What will you be doing in this role?
Become part of Cedars-Sinai by joining our Temporary Talent Services Team. In this role, associates will transition throughout Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to support departments with fulfilling temporary vacancies. The associate will be deployed to various departments performing various clerical duties. This is a Per Diem, non-benefited role. Assignments are typically Monday - Friday within regular business hours.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists clinical support staff including but not limited to the day-to-day work responsibilities in the office and clinic.
- Schedules patient appointments, coordinates procedures/testing with outside departments and ancillary services, expert understanding of authorizations according to guidelines/workflows by providing required documentation, monitors daily patient schedule, places reminder calls, and identifies “no shows” for rescheduling.
- Consistently answers telephones, takes complete and accurate messages, triage information and relays to appropriate party to support operational aspects of patient care.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
- Two (2) years experience in customer service.
- Two (2) years experience in a medical office setting/scheduling of patients preferred.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Handle multiple tasks frequently with short-time lines, prioritize and organize work, and complete assignments in a timely, accurate manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of medical terminology.
