The Surgery Transporter/Courier is a member of the team who, under the direct supervision of the staff (charge nurse) and clinical director, assists with transportation of patients and the preparation of various types of procedures. The Surgery Transporter/Courier is responsible for maintaining patient safety during transportation. The Surgery Transporter/Courier assists the registered nurses and staff in the preparation and termination of procedures while maintaining a clean work area and environment. Incorporating collaborative communications practices, he/she assists the team in administering quality care to patients. Other responsibilities include but not limited to rounding on nursing units and collecting specimens.
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED Current BLS certification required Team player Patient satisfaction focused Must be able to work a flexible schedule, may occasionally subjected to irregular hours Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills Fire and Safety card must be presented upon hire or must be obtained at our facility within the first 90 days.
