***THIS POSITION REQUIRES AT LEAST 8 MONTHS ICU NURSING EXPERIENCE***
POSITION OVERVIEW
- Provides professional nursing care to patients in the Inten! sive Care Unit, utilizing established policies and procedures, Standards of Care, to ensure safe and effective care.
- Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary care team in accordance with the ICU scope of care, ensuring high visibility/accessibility for effective communication.
- Services are provided based on the ages of the population served; Newborn through geriatric - 65 years or older and in collaboration with the multidisciplinary care team.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to identify and meet the individualized needs of all patients served in the Intensive Care Unit.
- Models professional development by engaging in shared governance activities.
- The ICU Staff Nurse reports to the supervision of the ICU Manager.
- Current California RN license or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Current CPR/BLS certification b! y the American Heart Association (BLS for the Healthcare Provi! der) or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Current ACLS, PALS & MICN certification prior to hire or must enroll and complete the first available Barton University courses
- Must complete first available Barton University Nonviolent Crisis Intervention
- Basic ECG interpretation upon completion of orientation
- Completion of an accredited Nursing program
- One year recent acute care nursing experience preferred
- Previous Critical Care nursing experience preferred
- Sufficient computer skills as are required to complete an online application and the pre-employment/annual Net Learning requirements
- In compliance with patient safety standards, must be able to effectively communicate in English; Bilingual abilities preferred

- Subject to varying and unpredictable situations, including the handling of emergency or crisis situations
- Subject to pressure due to irregular hours, frequent interruptions and stressful situations due to multiple demands (4) Relevant Accredited Clinical Program
