Description: Rady Children's Hospital - Polinksy Center, San Diego, CA is looking of (RN) Registered Nurse - Polinsky right now, this position will be placed in California. The Polinsky Clinic RN is responsible for coordinating and providing direct health and supportive services that are necessary to maintain or impr! ove the physical and mental health of the children of Polinsky Children's Center, who are brought into protective custody for reasons of suspected abuse or neglect. He/she provides comprehensive patient assessments, timely documentation, implementation and maintenance of individualized care plans to guide administration of treatments/medical care, and coordination of discharge planning and patient/family/caregiver education. The RN facilitates effective functionality of clinic operations, providing oversight to the Medical Assistants and working collaboratively with all disciplines providing services to the children of Polinsky, including, but not limited to: on-site/on-call Pediatrician/Psychiatrist, County Mental Health Team, Developmental Services and County Staff. The RN actively participates in Quality Improvement Management activities, and performs additional team functions, as required, to maintain effective clinic functions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Current Cali! fornia RN license
CPR certification (Issued by American Heart Association)
One year of experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing-Pediatrics
One year of pediatric experience
One year of Mental Health Services experience
Bilingual English/Spanish
