As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Chief Nurse Officer (CNO) ! is responsible for the overall management of assigned departments for Northridge Hospital Medical Center. Such management includes overseeing effective day-to-day operations, short and long range planning, strategic marketing and business plan development to ensure marketplace competitiveness, the development of new services and programs, effective fiscal management, effective quality improvement and quality control processes, recommending and implementing innovative organizational structures and delivery models which support the safe and effective provision of patient care, treatment and services and the development and support of a practice environment, which enables the recruitment and retention of a high functioning staff.
The CNO is responsible for the provision of nursing services twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Establishes and is responsible for one standard of nursing practice throughout the organization, is final authority over staff who provid! e nursing care, treatment and services, and is responsible for! providing a high level of customer satisfaction in a cost-effective manner.
