This position is located in Serra Mesa, San Diego County.
Hours
8 hour shift: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, working every other weekend.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Graduate of a Nursing School/Program (RN)
- Current unencumbered California Registered Nurse licensure
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
- Two years recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute inpatient psychiatric setting
- ! Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing
- Certification ! as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse desirable
Per Diem RN II independently performs the nursing process through individualized assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of safe, therapeutic, efficient care of patients with overt and subtle needs throughout the continuum of care, according to unit’s standard of care. We are looking for qualified nurses to share our vision of holistic patient care that continually moves toward excellence in all patient and staff outcomes. Maintain competency of staff assigned to ICU, act as resource within and without ICU, attend relevant meetings, encourage and promote best practices.
ICU is a 26 bed inpatient psychiatric unit specializing in assessment, stabilization and the safe therapeutic care of acute psychiatric patients. The recovery action program is used to teach and inspire our patients to make changes. We believe in treating our patients by utilizing the principles of recovery and insti! lling the concepts of hope, empowerment, self-responsibility, connection, and a meaningful life.

Sharp Mesa Vista provides inpatient care and offer outpatient programs throughout the community.
