Registered Nurse-NICUMust attend 12/10 orientationNIGHT SHIFT -BLENDED rate/OT after 12 hrs4 days orientation/16 hours unbillable Include Candidate SSN with all submissions for HR clearanceCollects clinical data to monitor quality and effectiveness of nursing care.? Identifies aspects of care that are important for quality monitoring and formulates recommendations to improve nursing practice or patient/resident outcomes.? Assists in development and implementation of policies, procedures, and practice guidelines to improve quality of care an! d nursing practice.? Participates on interdisciplinary teams t! hat evaluate clinical practice or health services relating to patient/resident care.
Formulates the plan of care and involves patient/residents in decisions related to care and the delivery services.? Makes referrals, including provisions for continuity of care, as needed.? Plans, coordinates and evaluates the educationprograms provided and conducts annual needs assessment.? Develops and implements department orientation for all staff members.
Training programs are developed to ensure staff competence when procedures or practices are changed or new ones are developed.? Monitors competence of staff. Maintains clinical competence in area of specialty.? Provides direct patient care as assigned.
Collaborates with Director of Clinical Education and/or area Director as appropriate.
