Providence is calling a Part Time Registered Nurse to Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance in San Pedro, CA.
In this position you will:
Under the general supervision, performs blood donor center procedures including donor history and physical, eligibility assessment, whole blood collection, therapeutic phlebotomy, and donor recruitment and scheduling
Provides patient care/donor procedures to the following age group: adolescents, young, middle and older adults in all locations of the LCMHS sy! stem
Maintains records of performance as defined in t! he transfusion medicine division procedures manuals.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current California Registered Nurse License
Current Basic Life Support BLS certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
Familiarity with applicable laws and regulatory standards of AABB, FDA, State of California
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Two years experience with Misys Information System
Blood Donor experience in an acute setting
