Job description
- Diagnose and treat any disorders, diseases or irregularities that pertain to the digestive system.
- See patients initially in consultations, where they work to understand what the specific problem.
- Perform physical exam and work with the notes and recommendations.
- Work to understand the symptoms of each patient so that they can apply all of this information to a proper diagnosis.
- Perform test or may prescribe medication, as the treatment plan for each patient is as unique as each condition.
- Perform necessary surgeries that are required to fix any problems within this area of the body.
- Correctly diagnose and recommend treatment for those conditions.
Gastroenterologist Requirements / Skills / QualificationsMedical degree.
- Completion of a three-year internal residency.
- Completion of a three-year Gastroenterology specialization degree.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in performing endoscopic and colonoscopy procedures.
- Proficiency with X-Rays, MRI's and ultrasound scanning.
- DHA License
