Some college courses
Special Training: (including license):Required:
Prior knowledge of or is able to learn and perform, nurses aide duties i.e.; vital signs, incontinent care, oral and physical hygiene, transfers, etc.
Current BLS certification
BET (Behavioral Emergency Training) or equivalent
Preferred:
College courses in psychology or completion of a formal nurse assistant course or enrollment in an R.N., L.V.N., or L.P.T. program.
Experience: (minimum, plus desired):Required:
Minimum one year experience on an inpatient mental health unit.
