Elwyn NC is a subsidiary of Elwyn which has been providing a full range of specialty services to disabled individuals for over 150 years. Elwyn NC currently operates 14 homes in the South and East Bay area.
Elwyn NC is looking for PART TIME (P/T) and PER DIEM (PRN) employees for an Elwyn NC residential location in Livermore, CA .

Registered Nurse
Primary Function
The Registered Nurse will be the lead staff on the shift, under the direction of the Program Administrator. The RN performs general nursing procedures, behavior management, direct care and training as dictated by the individuals’ health and behavioral care needs. Performs nursing procedures as authorized within the scope of practice. Participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team and contributes to ! the development of the Individual Support Plan. The RN may fun! ction as lead staff on the shift and may oversee DSPs. Responsible for adherence to standards, procedures and schedules established by Elwyn NC. Responsible for ensuring that any suspicion of or knowledge of suspected abuse is reported in accordance with the law and program policies “Mandated Reporter†(SOC 341).
Education/Experience
Must be 18 years of age or older. Possess and maintain a valid, active license from the State of California to practice as a Registered Nurse. Previous supervisory experience preferred including strong interpersonal, communication, leadership skills. Minimum 1 year experience with Human Services field preferred. Must complete or hold a DOJ and FBI fingerprint and criminal clearance. Must have a valid health screening with TB test within 1 year prior to hire or no later than 7 days after hire. Ability to complete all trainings as required by applicable regulations, including but not limited to: DSP1, DSP2, First Aid, CPR/AE! D certifications. Must sign a Criminal Record Statement (LIC 508). Current, valid CA driver’s license required.
Working Environment/Hazards
Ability to work in a variety of environments and settings. Hours of work may vary, however the predominant schedule is 6:30a-3p, 2:30p-11p or 10:30p-7a. All shifts in Elwyn NC homes are “awake†positions. Must remain on duty until relieved. On-going interaction with contacts listed above. Potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinical nursing environment. Interaction with consumers who display aggressive and/or self-injurious behaviors.
