Job Summary:
The RN Clinical Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations for outpat! ient GYN and Gynecologic Surgery services.
General Duties: The position manages human resources at the department level in a cost-effective manner, acting as a mentor and resource for all staff. The Clinical Manager facilitates an optimal environment to support orientation and clinical competency validation, while ensuring an interactive team milieu. The Clinical Manager promptly and fully investigates and resolves complaints of patients, visitors, staff, and physicians, advising administration appropriately. The Clinical Manager responds and provides direction in changing workload during low volume and high volume situations.
Clinical Duties: The Clinical Manager assumes overall responsibility for physician directed care of clinic patients including nursing care, patient assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of each patient seen. The Clinical Manager is responsible for adhering to all standards of nursing care, and for adhering! to all established policies and procedures, be they departmen! tal or administrative, as well as practice guidelines established for Gynecologic Surgery Services. The Clinical Manager ensures that all aspects of documentation, care planning and patient care delivery meet Joint Commission and other licensing, accrediting and regulatory agency requirements.
Experience/Qualifications:
A registered nurse with 3 years recent experience relevant to clinic specialty, with previous management experience. ED, Surgery, GYN or high volume outpatient clinic experience preferred.
Education:
Graduate from an accredited RN program required. BSN preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Current California RN license required. Current BLS Certification required. Certification in area of specialty desirable.
